For this I used Zoya Arizona on my thumb then mixed it with a couple drops of white before painting my index finger. I repeated this for all five of my fingers. I've actually never tried doing an ombre this way before and I'm definitely glad I got to try it!
I definitely encountered some problems with doing this method though. Arizona got realllllly gloopy really fast. Arizona's formula wasn't that great to begin with but I definitely was working too slowly also. The color is definitely fun though :)

ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThat's a very pretty and smooth ombre :) I like it!
ReplyDeleteOh thats so cool that you mixed the polish with white instead of using all different ones! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteElle...this is a super idea. I can't tell you how many times I've thought about doing an ombre, but routinely bag out cause I don't have a broad enough range. Duh. One high pigment color. Add white.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mani, colors, and concept.
You get the Most Clever Blogger Out There Award this week, girl!
Love it!!!!

You're so sweet! Thank you for your kind words :) glad you liked the idea
DeleteIt never dawned on me to do an ombre like this...actually saw it about a week ago. It's a great idea if you don't have a lot of shades of a color, or if they are in different tones. Great idea, and that is a fun color.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I haven't seen anyone mixing their own paint for an ombre yet!
