Sally Hansen Resurrection and Green Tea- Spring 2013 Designer Collection

Happy weekend, lovelies! Today I have two really pretty polishes to show you guys! One is a blue which totally surprises me, but I am totally in love. These are both LE polish from the Spring 2013 Designer Collection. Resurrection is by designer Prabal Gurung and Green Tea is by Tracy Reese. Sally Hansen does a designer collection every so often and I always love their polishes. Some of these are rereleases (pretty sure Green Tea is one of them). These two are both really beautiful, I may be going back for a couple others (Dune, Butterscotch, Angel Bite, and possibly White Out). There are also a few others in the collection called First Kiss, Soy Latte, Apparition, and Hot Lava for a total of 10 shades! There really is something for everyone. You can see bottle shots and display shots at Nouveau Cheap.

This beauty is Sally Hansen Resurrection  from the Complete Salon Manicure line. Totally opaque in one coat, but this is two out of habit. The formula on this was fantastic. One of the best I've used all year! Seriously though. If you like grayed out blues then you need this. You all know how I love my grays so this is perfect for me. I wore this with an accent of Sally Hansen Shoot the Moon which is part of their permanent line.

My Picks From the China Glaze Sunsational Summer 2013 Collection: Heat Index and Highlight of My Summer

Happy Wednesday! It's been really hot here so I thought it would be appropriate to start pulling out the neons for summer! Yay! These were my 2 picks (so far) from the China Glaze Sunsational collection

Heat Index is a neon pink jelly. This freaked out my camera! It is way more neon in real life. The thing I didn't like about this was the formula. This was 4 coats and you could still see my nail line quite clearly. The color is great though, and I want to try this for a jelly sandwich.

Essie Resort Collection 2013 Swatches+Comparions

Hi lovlies! I want to share one of my favorite collections so far this year (my other being Orly Hope and Freedom). This is a rather small collection but all four polishes pack a punch and are pretty unique. All of these had a great formula, although I've seen other people say otherwise. I do in general like Essie's formula of their polishes for the most part though. And I like the brush though a lot of people find it rather small. Enough with the rambling and onto the pretty polish!

First up is Essie Come Here! (yes, with the exclamation mark). This to me was a bright red leaning coral. I love corals so for me this was a winner. Two easy coats.

ABC Challenge P is for Pastel Polka Dots

Hi everyone! Today we are on letter P of the ABC Challenge! I did pastel polka dots with five different pastels. It was a very springy mani to say the least. I think that polka dots are a fun way to do nail art and they are super easy!

Sinful Colors Genteel and Pistache + A Comparison

Hi lovies! :) Today I have a couple of shades from one of the new Sinful Colors Buff to Bright LE collection. There are so many I'm having trouble keeping track of everything. I picked up just these 2 but I might have to go back for a couple more! :)

Genteel is a pastel pink with a strong blue flash. You can see the blue flash in the bottle more than on the nail but it is very apparent in real life. So delicate, springy, and pretty. This is 3 coats.

ABC Challenge J is for Butter London Jack the Lad!

Hi everyone! Today is letter J of the ABC Challenge! I can't believe we have all made it this far :) For this challenge all the participants choose a polish name, brand, or nail art technique that begins with the letter of the week. For this week I have Butter London Jack the Lad from last year's winter/holiday collection. It is such a stunner! I liked this a lot more than I expected to.

Orly Hope and Freedom Collection Swatches!

Happy Tuesday! Hope you guys all had a lovely weekend and didn't have too much trouble waking up with Daylight Savings taking away an hour of sleep. Today I have swatches of a really fun collection that I have been dying to find ever since I saw swatches of it. For all of these I used no basecoat (spoiler: no staining on any of them!) and one coat of Sally  Hansen Insta-Dri as my top coat.

Orly Melodious Utopia- 4 coats. Officially my favorite yellow! I loved this so much! The formula is not streaky at all but it is a bit sheer. It was pretty opaque in 3 coats, I just did 4 so you could see the full effect. This has tons of pink and orange shimmer in it, making it unique (in my collection at least)

Sinful Colors Paparazzi/ Almost Famous Collection Swatches

Hi guys! So its just now hitting me that this will be my first post with swatches of an entire collection. So please bear with me... if you see any room for improvement or have any tips/comments let me know! Hopefully this is helpful for you. I'll start by saying that all of these swatches are one coat of glitter over a base color. They were all very packed with glitter with no fishing or dabbing required! Truly a joy to apply and wear, I think these are great for a glitter newbie or someone who already loves glitter polishes! No more words, on to the pretties! Warning: this is really pic heavy...hope you enjoy!

Sinful Colors Showstopping over Pure Ice Superstar!

Showstopping is a mix of small pink glitter with a ton of holo hex glitter. Very pretty!

Dotticure with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls

Hi guys! Today I have some nail art I did a while back. I used a dotting tool for all of my dots (clearly I still need practice) This isn't as neat as I would have liked but I still wanted to post it on here anyway. Hope you guys like it!

ABC Challenge- E is for Essie Pretty Edgy

Hi everyone! Today I'm back with all the lovely ladies participating in the ABC Challenge. Quick post today because my laptop is about to die! As you know, for this challenge we are to show a nail polish shade, brand, or nail art technique that starts with the letter of the week. This week we are on letter E so of course, I had to choose an Essie polish. Essie is one of my favorite polish brands even though I know a lot of people don't really love them. While Essie is known for their pinks and soft shades, they make a mean green polish! Seriously though this and Mojito Madness from last summer's collection are two of my favorite greens in my collection.

ABC Challenge C is for China Glaze!

As you all know I have been participating in the ABC Challenge hosted by Kimber from Kimber's Lacquer Korner! For this challenge we are to show a polish name, brand or type of nail art that starts with the letter of the week. This week we are on the letter C. I guess I subconsciously wore a lot of China Glaze this week so I will show you a few shades that I wore. China Glaze is definitely one of my top 5 nail polish brands. I usually really love their seasonal collections and adore many of the shades in the permanent line. All right enough rambling, on to the pictures!

First up is Surreal Appeal from the Cirque du Soleil collection! This is a great pink leaning coral (which I have been obsessed with lately- the weather here is so summery!) 2 coats with top coat shown below

Revlon Emerald and Nail Art!

So today I have some Christmas nail art for you guys! I started off with a base of Revlon Top Speed Emerald.  I had originally just planned on swatching this but I liked it so much I decided to wear it and do some nail art. I then put Sally Hansen Cherry Red on my thumb.

Color Club Haul from Ross

Hi polish addicts! I don't really have many places near me to get Color Club polishes so I try to find them at stores like Ross. I recently found a collection of 6 polishes plus top coat in a package labeled "All About Color Collection". When I searched for info about it, I couldn't find much that pertained to the set I found. All the colors were different than the ones that others have posted about. Unfortunately all but one did not have names so I searched around the Internet to try to find names for these. I also found an unnamed Cosmetic Arts polish which I have heard are just renamed dupes of Color Club polishes.
