ABC Challenge! H is for Milani HD and Hi-Res

Hi guys! I'm finally back to posting regularly (haha) I was really under the weather and busy with school so My posting schedule was pretty messed up but I'm back now that things are less busy. As you all probably know, for the ABC Challenge I have to post a polish name, brand, or nail art technique that starts with the letter of the week! Today I decided to do a gradient with two holo (another H!) polishes, Milani Hi-Res (a purple holo) and HD (a silver holo).

This was two coats of Hi-Res followed by a gradient with HD. I loved the idea of two holo colors together, but these were not as holo as I had hoped. Trying really hard to be a linear holo but it comes off more scattered and not as strong as I would have liked. But I still do like these and won't be purging them from my stash :)

What do you guys think of my holo gradient?

Be sure to check out the other lovelies! :)

  1. I had no idea Milani had holos. The purple and the silver look nice together, and you can see the holo peeking out too.

  7. I still love the Milani holos. They're awsesome despite being a weird mix of scattered and linear holo! I dig the gradient! I really need to try a holo gradient sometime

  9. The gradient looks great but I agree these are not the strongest holos! I do have the silver one myself but still untried for that reason!

  10. Holo gradient! That's gorgeous. Milani has really upped the ante! The last several collections they've issued have been knockout. They're the first to go in my local stores :( Guess I just need to move FASTER! :)

    Lovely job, Elle!

  12. So pretty!! I attempted a holo gradient for 'G' week and 1) I suck at gradients and 2) the cord I chose where not meant for each other!! I just got a couple of milani holos and I love love love them, don't have the purple though now I want it!!!

    1. I think that the milani holos worked pretty well for this because they are a bit sheer and it makes it easier for them to blend when doing the gradient. Yes! I loved the purple one too you should get it! Glad you liked this :)
